Whitney grew up in Shelley, Idaho and grew to love the outdoors, country living, hard work and playing sports. Brad grew up in St. George, Utah and grew to love sports, family time, the outdoors of Southern Utah and served a mission for our church in Mexico. 2006: Brad and Whit met playing basketball at the College of Southern Idaho in Twin Falls, Idaho. 2007: Brad and Whit were married in the Idaho Falls temple. 2007-2010: Brad played on the men's basketball team and graduated in business at Oklahoma State University. Living in Stillwater, Oklahoma was some of our favorite years! 2010 - Current: Brad and Whit moved to St. George, Utah. Whitney graduated from Dixie State University in 2013. We've lived in a couple homes and have been in our current house in Washington Fields since 2016 and plan on being here for years to come. We love our neighborhood and community. Whitney began teaching 2nd grade and shortly after Brad began teaching high school. We love the lifestyle teaching provides. 2016-2017: After nine years of trying to start a family with lots of procedures and doctors appointments, we took a break and miraculously got pregnant with our baby girl. In March 2017, Brooks was born! Ever since she was born, she has LOVED people and is the life of the party. 2020: In January 2020 we were so excited to find out that we were pregnant again and we thought we were finally out of the "unexplained infertility" challenge. But disappointedly, we miscarried on March, Friday the 13th. How about that date - kind of morbid, right?! COVID-19 had just shut the country down and we began our "distant learning" teaching from home mourning the loss of a child. We know that child is waiting for us in heaven :). 2022: After some alternative medicine approaches and still no luck getting pregnant, we made the exciting decision to adopt! (The thought has come many times over the years.) We have received an added measure of peace since committing to this decision. We are thrilled to be adoptive parents! So, here we are!
